Mission Mangal review

Still waiting for a movie that combines the Apollo 11 (2019) visual feast with the heartbeats of Hidden Figures (2016).

A MASTERCLASS ON REBELLION

Every want is a pressing need and I comes before anyone else -that is Kabir Singh, wants it his way and wants it immediately. ‘A Rebel with a Reason’ is plastered on the posters, but this self-obsessed and out of control young protagonist is a case study in ‘sociopathology’. A brilliant mind gone waste, someone who has it all but cannot seem to get his act together.
Exceptional acting by Shahid Kapoor brings this complex character alive on the screen. A movie worth seeing. 3 & ½ stars.

No Value for Life

Anubhav Sinha's 'Article 15' is the wake-up call we all needed. The movie has all it takes to not only make it impactful and start a conversation, but also haunt you a lifetime. NewStoryBook gives the movie a 4/5 rating.

Super 30: No Future Without Grades

The movie is based on Anand Kumar who in real life runs a residential programme for 30 deserving candidates and trains them for the IIT entrance each year. He has had a phenomenal success rate and has been recognized globally as one of the finest teachers. Hrithik's reel-life Anand, brings alive the dedication and drive of the ardent teacher. Pankaj Tripathi is awesome as the unscruplous politician. The supporting cast viz Abhishek Srivastava, Virendra Saxena and Nandish Sandhu are all good too. The story is nice. India needs so many more trained and dedicated teachers.
